FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

I’M NO TRAFFIC LAWYER BUT I’M A FREEMAN WHO KEEPS ON DRIVING!!

A Manchester man has setup an innovative way of advising drivers who are allegedly caught speeding.
Chris Burton, of Middleton, was stopped by police in December 2005 who accused him of travelling at nearly 60mph in a 30mph zone. Mr. Burton explains, “My driving license is vital to my line of work so I spent every spare minute researching and studying the relevant laws and rules that the Police must follow in an attempt to avoid a ban or hefty fine.”
After 5 court appearances culminating in a trial, where Mr. Burton represented himself, the case was eventually thrown out and dismissed by Manchester magistrates in December 2006.
Mr. Burton was ecstatic and decided to share what he’d learnt from his experience with other motorists who are in the same position as he was. He compiled all the information he had learnt from his court appearances, weeks and weeks of research, as well as the advice taken from expensive traffic defence lawyers into one document.
The next stage was to setup a website, Case Dismissed, which went live in March this year. It now attracts hundreds of visitors each day from all over the country – all desperate for advice on how they can apply Chris’s tactics to their own case. To date, there have been more than 1,700 downloads and many letters of thanks.
Mr. Burton says, “I’d never consider myself to be a legal advisor or expert, but the public seem to be voting with their mouse clicks! The average traffic defence lawyer costs £2,500 if you win or loose so it’s a risky business. However, it needn’t be so expensive; if people are armed with the correct information it’s easy to represent themselves by applying what I learnt to their own cases – the information is all under one roof at www.CaseDismissed.co.uk
